Love them!

I think it's safe to say that I get to serve in Relief Society with the finest women that this church has to offer.  Each is so unique.  Each is so faithful.  Each is so lovable!  Meagan is creative and energetic and willing and optimistic.  Vanessa is organized and reliable and content and capable.  Eva is enthusiastic and happy and practical and candid.  When you put it all together - you come up with one great whole bundle of awesome.  Love you all, friends!!

BFFs

Shawney is a girl with a boatload of friends - she knows people everywhere she goes!  I'm thankful, though, for these 2 besties of hers - friends that will last forever!  She and the cutie on the right are roomies (and from certain angles, look pretty identical . . .).  Shaw and that cutie in the middle are road trippin' it even as we speak - all the way from Utah to Alabama for spring break.  Christy's family has rolled out the red carpet for Shaw and all are having a great time.  Here's to the best of friends!!

They're not just awesome lacrosse players . . .

The national rankings just came out - and BYU finds itself in the sweet spot of #2 in the nation!  Go Cougars!  (You can always check their progress at byulacrosse.com.)  But more importantly, this is a team of great guys.  Just look at these action photos of a different kind - testifying in song and word (and how they live) of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.  The team gives firesides quite often during road trips (these pics are from a trip to Las Vegas a while back) - check their schedule to see if they'll be playing (and singing!) soon in a town near you!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail . . .

See all these great kids?  They're waiting for the Tagg Easter Egg Hunt of 2012 to begin!  It's always a great event - thousands and thousands of pieces of candy and filled eggs strewn about - easy to find for the little ones, a lot more challenging (under water, up in trees, etc) if you're a little older.  Everybody comes away with too much candy - which is what we're all about!  When the hunting is done, there's a light lunch (thanks to Gram!) of old standbys - egg salad, ham and cheese, cheetos, hard boiled eggs, jello jigglers, and lemonade.  We had about 75 sweet munchkins this year.  And Marcy's huge real life bunny, Charlie, came out for a pre-hunt visit.  Happy Easter!

While the cat's away . . . .

So, while Daren was in Africa, it was spring break around here.  And rather than just pining away for our main man, we hit the road - just me, Chap, Max, Marcy, and Gram.  We headed south toward the Carolinas and spent a few blissful days visiting in Charleston with the 2 greatest aunts on the planet - Annie and Sooze.
We visited downtown Charlestown and toured via horse drawn buggy.  We enjoyed a perfect beach day on the Isle of Palms.  We enjoyed The Resort - pools, hot tubs, and all.  And we had Uncle Dunc's house (stocked with food to the hilt!!) at the Del Webb all to ourselves, while dining every evening with Annie and Sooze.  Does life get any better?  I think not.  Thanks, Aunts.  They don't call you great for nothin'.

4 countries in 2 1/2 weeks . . .

Doesn't Daren look like he's having the time of his life?  He's just returned from working in four different African countries - Senegal, Cape Verde, Mauritania, and Gambia - and has the tan to prove it!  He not only got all the work done that he went to do, but also drove through the Sahara desert, ate goat meat and rice with his hands from a bowl on the floor, worked with folks that spoke French, Arabic, and Portugese, with a little English mixed in, saw lots of camels out and about, and enjoyed a whole array of oceanside hotels.  We're thrilled to have him home, but are so glad for him that he's having such wonderful adventures.  And the goodies he brought back (necklaces, crazy print pants, an African mask, etc) weren't bad either . . .
